Shikinejima Island If you go to Hammamatsucho (Tokyo) after dinner, you can catch a ferry and arrive at this nice small island the next morning - the ferry leaves Tokyo at 10.00 PM. On Shikinejima you can enjoy fishing, swimming and other activities, but doing nothing is actually one of the best ways to spend time here. Most importantly, however, don't forget to enjoy the hot springs.

There are several hot springs next to the ocean which you can use free of charge.

The ferry goes to Shikinejima from Hamamatsucho, Tokyo. One-way tickets range in price from Y5120 to Y15 360.

Water from the ocean changes the temperature of the hot springs, so that it varies according to the tide [I'm not sure if this is what you meant]. Amazing.

Please look at the sunset, which is particularly beautiful.

If you stay at a minshuku (guesthouse), you are guaranteed to enjoy some great seafood.

There is also a free campground - no worries about toilet facilities either.
